The 2024 Oscar Kilo Awards are now open for submissions. If your force has created a project or programme that is making a difference to the wellbeing of your officers and staff, then why not enter it for one of our awards.

On Wednesday 6 March 24, Devon and Cornwall Police hosted a wellbeing conference at Buckfast Abbey, Devon. If you missed out this is a chance for you to catch up and watch recordings of the sessions in your own time.

We are delighted to launch our new leavers' hub offering resources to support both police staff and officers as they retire or leave policing.

Last week we held our occupational health practitioners conference in Leeds. Attended by over 80 individuals who work in occupational health teams across the country, the event was a huge success - this is a quick overview on what was covered.

A role in policing can mean parents and care givers sometimes miss out on family time. It has an impact on family life and can be really hard to explain to children. That’s why we’re giving away a very special gift which includes a copy of the Red Robber Raid book and activity pack, along with our gorgeous Oscar Kilo dog soft toy.

We have just launched four new online courses on College Learn, primarily aimed at individuals working within occupational health.

When you’ve worked in policing and the time comes to retire or leave the service, it can feel quite daunting. That’s why we’ve developed an initial programme of support – our leavers' hub – to help you navigate this change, which we’ll be launching on Monday 11 March 2024.

Creating an environment for brilliance - a one day wellbeing at work conference is being held by Devon & Cornwall Police on Wednesday 6 March, 9am to 4pm at Buckfast Abbey, Devon. There will be 100 spaces to attend in person (Devon & Cornwall Police and Dorset Police officers and staff only) and the event will also be streamed live on Teams for other colleagues.

Thank you to everyone who has taken part in our survey on sleepiness and driving in policing. The final set of prize winners have now been selected. Please note: All prizes must be claimed by the 29th of February.
