Oscar Kilo have launched a new toolkit to help individuals reduce their intake or take a break from alcohol.
This resource has been adapted and developed using content from the 'Live Alcohol Experiment', which Oscar Kilo has supported over the past three years.
The toolkit has been launched to coincide with 'Dry January' but can be used at any time of the year.
What is the Alcohol Experiment?
The Alcohol Experiment is a 30-day journey to help individuals rethink their relationship with alcohol, on their own terms, at their own pace. It’s not about judgment or pressure; it’s about curiosity and gives space to explore life with less (or no) alcohol.
Created by former Chief Superintendent Maria Fox alongside accredited UK coaches from This Naked Mind, the toolkit is based on their well-known 30-Day Alcohol Experiment. It aims to uncover the truth about alcohol, challenge old beliefs, and empower individuals to make choices that feel right for them.
Who is it for?
The toolkit has been designed for 'grey area drinkers' - someone who drinks occasionally, moderately, or binge drinks now and then. If someone is physically dependent on alcohol, they’ll need clinical support first.
Whether they want to:
- Take a short break
- Cut back
- Stop completely
- Improve sleep, reduce stress, or feel healthier
…this experiment can help.
The benefits
People who’ve taken part report benefits like:
- Better sleep and more energy
- Lower stress and blood pressure
- Improved liver function and weight loss
- Mental clarity and focus
- Some even reduced or stopped certain medications.
What’s in the toolkit?
- Three pre-work videos to help you get started
- 30 days of themed video content to guide you through the experiment
- 10 ACT episodes that tackle common beliefs about alcohol - think of these as myth-busting deep dives.
- Individuals can follow the schedule or go at their own pace, it’s flexible and designed to fit your life.
