Following on from the agreement of a suicide prevention consensus statement and the launch of our suicide postvention toolkit last year we are continuing our partnership with Samaritans to bring you a series of five webinars.
These webinars investigate some challenging subjects including self harm and suicide, which we recognise will be difficult for some. We are committed to supporting the mental health of everyone working in UK policing and hope that by openly talking about these subjects we can help to raise awareness, reduce stigma and give you the tools to sensitively manage any connected issues locally.
By encouraging a culture where it’s OK to ask for help and ensuring that these requests are heard is critical in creating a healthy working environment and retaining staff over the long-term. This is an ongoing task for senior management and all those responsible for the workforce.
These one hour webinars have now taken place, the recordings are available using the link at the bottom of the page.
