From 1 January 2024 The Police Treatment Centres and The Police Children’s Charity will be available to all police staff.

The Police Treatment Centres (PTC) is a police charity which provides two first class residential treatment centres in Harrogate and Auchterarder. Donating and eligible police families can access residential and online physiotherapy programmes together with residential psychological wellbeing support.

The Police Treatment Centres offer access to a multidisciplinary team of experts with the time to listen, assess and treat alongside access to superb fitness, wellbeing and hospitality facilities.

The Police Children’s Charity (TPCC) is a police charity which provides financial support if the donating parent passes away, their partner passes away or if the donating parent has to be medically retired from the job. The TPCC are also able to offer ‘grants for all’ which any donating officer or staff member can access for their children. These are a child counselling or an ex-gratia wellbeing grant. A full list of support is available on the TPCC website.

They are keen to recognise and support the changing landscape of modern policing, and hope that by extending their eligibility to all Police Staff and Officers, they will meet the needs of our constituent forces.

From the 1st November 2023, Police Staff will be able to join by downloading a sign up form from their website.

Any officer or staff that is paid and employed by the chief constable will be able to sign up to both charities.
