What we’ve been up to

Nutrition for wellbeing

In our last bulletin we told you about our brand-new nutrition for wellbeing programme with nutritionist and ex police officer Anna Earl.

On Monday, 9 January 2023 we held our second nutrition webinar 'What, when and how to eat'. In this session Anna covered:

  • What to eat on a night shift?
  • What is chrononutrition? Learn about your natural, internal body clock and its relationship with digestion to help you make more educated meal choices.
  • Understanding the effects of different foods on your body, and how eating them at the ‘wrong’ times can impact your health.

'Purpose' a short film and mental health package

Last month we launched this brand new package during an online screening of the film for forces.

This resource is intended to act as a platform to encourage officers and staff not only to be more self-aware, but also encourage thinking and discussion on how systems and processes could work better to support officers and staff and provide an opportunity for signposting and support.

Because the film is intended to be used with facilitation – the full film will not be made available via the website but will be issued upon request. If you want to use this film in your force please let us know.
