Although the session we held on the 9 November was due to be our final individual resilience check-in of 2020, we’ve decided, to add three extra sessions to help you through if you are finding things difficult.

As we are in the midst of another national lockdown and experiencing the darker winter months, with many of us facing isolation for a second time, the need to support our resilience is greater than ever.

Covid has been with us for almost ten months now and although we have all managed to adjust, a second lockdown has had a big impact on some.

We are all starting to suffer from varying levels of Covid fatigue, with some of us struggling more than others. You may be back to working from home, feeling isolated and not being able to see an end to the situation. As we go through winter with the added challenges the second lockdown is bringing, it’s really important to build up our resilience to help face the months ahead.

The National Police Wellbeing Service have funded these extra Individual Resilience Check-ins, facilitated by Bailey and French, to offer you the opportunity to access a FREE one hour Online Individual Resilience Check-in

People who joined previous workshops told us they found them uplifting – they enjoyed talking and sharing with others and learning tips as to how to overcome challenges and feel more resilient.

Overall the feedback we received was really positive and many of you asked if we would be running more.

Great news – more sessions are on the way!

To help you all through this second lockdown we have three sessions planned in for November. During these virtual workshops you will join fellow police officers and staff from across the UK to have meaningful communication.

Please sign up, even if you have attended one of our previous sessions, as these sessions have been adapted to the current situation and your feelings and experiences could be different.

You will have the opportunity to share your experience and defuse through discussion, with peers who you may or may not know. The session is a whole group discussion led by Bailey and French, you will have the opportunity to share your experiences, if you feel comfortable using the chat function. You should leave the session feeling uplifted ready to face this second lockdown and beyond with optimism and resilience.

How do I join?

These sessions have now taken place.

The technical stuff

The sessions will be run using Microsoft Teams.

If you are attempting to join the webinar from a Force computer, you may not be able to download the Microsoft Teams app so we recommend using a personal device (laptop, phone or iPad) so that you can access the session.

Please note that these workshops are interactive, using breakout rooms so that you can connect and talk to your peers.

Therefore you can sign up to more than one workshop, as you will connect with different people each time.

With every sign-up, you’ll receive free resources on the PERMA model of wellbeing and on psychological capital, which supports building our resilience.
