As a supervisor or line manager you will know that your team’s performance can be affected by stress or sickness absence, and that these can be caused by a variety of factors.

This course is designed to help you spot the signs of ill health in your team and how to make sure they get the help they need.

Please note: This course does not qualify you to diagnose mental health conditions but will assist you to support and sign post your staff to ensure that they stay well and get the help they need.

What is it?

A module-based psychoeducation course to help you understand basic mental health issues, how best to support someone and how to signpost them to professional help. We will also provide you with information on how to look after yourself.

What will you learn?

The course consists of an introductory module, followed by eight further modules which will cover the types of mental health conditions that colleagues may experience, signs and symptoms and how to best to support your supervisee. We will also cover topics such as assaults on staff and injury on duty, moral injury and embitterment and suicide.
