We offer training to individuals who want to be peer supporters and to peer support coordinators. The peer support training programme will provide a force with everything they need to implement a peer support network.
Peer support face to face training: Jan & Feb 2024
Face to face training courses:
January
- Monday 8 and Tuesday 9 January, North Wales Police
February
- Wednesday 21 and Thursday 22 February, Lancashire Constabulary
The training will cover the following areas:
- an overview of the OK peer support model
- the peer support process
- an introduction to mental health and self care
- non–clinical training for OK peer supporters
Please note: Face to face training is 9:00am to 3.30pm on day one and 9:00am to 3pm on day two.
Upon completion of the course, delegates will receive a certification of completion.
How often does this training take place?
These courses regularly take place throughout the year and dates will be supplied directly to forces who have adopted this training.
How to access this training
To be considered for one of these courses, you must firstly contact your force wellbeing lead who may put your name forward.
Please note we are unable to accept individual applications for this course.
