The charity MIND have a dedicated resource aimed at providing key learning, research and resources for police officers and staff.
Their own research has found:
- 91% of police have experienced stress and poor mental health at work.
- Emergency services personnel are more likely to experience a mental health problem than the general workforce, but you are less likely to take time of work as a result.
- You work hard to prevent mental health problems affecting your performance at work, but this can come at a large personal cost, impacting relationships and physical health.
Alongside helpful guidance for staff, there is also a wellbeing checklist staff can use to self assess if they have the right support in place.
